Roots

We are a family, first and always

In Northern Italy, where the Alps rise near the French border, we began our journey with a passion that still echoes through the vines. We founded L’Autin in 2010, rooted in tradition, guided by vision, and carried forward by the strength and clarity of a woman.

MAURO CAMUSSO

Agronomist, founder, and mountain soul

With a background in agronomy, Mauro stepped into the world of stone to support his wife, Maura Beltramo, in the family’s quarry business, dedicated to Luserna Stone.

In 2010, he founded L’Autin — not as a business, but as a return to something deeper. He began by making wine for the family, driven by a desire to revive native Piedmontese grapes and unlock the potential of this land.

He chose to restore traditional vineyards while also planting international varieties, believing that these hills could offer more than anyone expected.

Today, he works alongside expert oenologists to craft organic wines that speak of tradition, terroir, and quiet innovation.

ELISA CAMUSSO

Voice of a new generation

Elisa leads L’Autin with a clear sense of purpose — shaped by her roots, grounded in knowledge, and driven by the example of her father and grandfather before her. She carries forward their belief in preserving native grapes and honoring tradition, while bringing her own vision to the land — exploring new expressions through international varieties in the shadow of Monviso.

With a degree in Environmental Engineering, she pushes the winery toward full sustainability and certified organic practices. She is also a certified AIS sommelier, bridging instinct, science, and the rhythm of the soil.

OUR HEROES

A team bound by their land. Meticulous, attentive, and determined — every day, they bring our wines to life.

Manifesto

Bold roots, quiet strength, and the hands of a woman — this is what guides us. In every vine, every harvest, every bottle.

WE WORK BRAVELY

On the steep slopes near Monviso, growing wine is an act of resilience. Terraced vineyards, harsh climates, and manual harvest shape our daily craft. Each vine is a gesture of courage — rooted in mountain winemaking.

WE GROW NATIVE

We grow only indigenous mountain grapes — varieties that have always belonged here. Not imported, not adapted, but born in this land and shaped by it and us. At the foot of Monviso, where altitude, stone, and history meet, these grapes express their full identity. They are the pure voice of this land, and nowhere else.

WE LEAD WITH CARE

Winemaking is our heritage. Since 2010, our family has poured knowledge and care into every bottle. Today, we are proudly led by Elisa Camusso — visionary, grounded, and deeply connected to this land.

WE PROMISE PURITY

From high-altitude grapes to 40-month aging in the silence of the mountain, our wines carry time, place, and truth. No shortcuts. No compromise. Just patience, and purpose.

WE PROTECT OUR LAND

Nature is not a resource — it’s a partner. We farm organically, respect biodiversity, and work with the rhythm of the land. Sustainability isn’t a trend. It’s how we live.
